Poetry Tow Truck 16: Statuesque

Statues are a time-honored way to honor, decorate, and memorialize. Sometimes we know their stories, and sometimes we must invent them. Today, try writing a poem based on a photo of a statue. Here a few photos of mine to start you off, but you can find many others on Flickr or Google Images if nothing here strikes your fancy. (Click on photos for a larger view.)

Stone, metal, realistic, or abstract  – statues cannot speak, but what did they say to you? Stop by and let us know.
