Poetry Tow Truck 31: The Moment Right Before

Have you ever walked into a room and interrupted two people having a conversation? If they stop suddenly, you usually assume they have been talking about you. Sometimes they welcome you into the exchange, and sometimes you can tell that there are things left unsaid.

Today we are going to use one of several pieces of art/photography that includes two people to spark a new piece of writing. Look through the photo gallery below and choose a piece of art. Then study it carefully – the setting, the facial expressions, etc. – and decide what discussion was taking place immediately before. Use that as impetus for some freewriting – and maybe a poem will come from it!
